Virginia beach, Williamsburg area

Saw wild rabbit for the first time in my life in front of McDonald’s on the way to the Virginia beach
The road was so crowded it took almost twice the time than expected even though departed on a weekday.
Could smell the relaxing salty sea breeze
It was very hot during the day time in July
Neptune statue
Sunset at the beach. There’s a stage where some bands perform music at night in front of the Naptune statue
Relatively white sand beach
The sand becomes dark colored near the water and it was disappointing to see unclear water and trash around the sea shore during the stays. However it is a refreshment to walk along the beach and have a peaceful moment since we came a long way.
The food at Catch 31 fish house & bar was great! Especially the best crab cake ever so far I had.
Small but tasty oysters
Couldnt enjoy the outdoor hotel pool long enough it was crowded and too hot outside
Going to a Hawaiian salad place made me miss the Hawaiian sea.
Went to a pancake place which made people wait 30mins to get in and 20mins to order something after seated. The server never brought the ketchup until finishing the potatoes but other tables. The taste of food was not bad but the service was not desirable.
Cape henry light house
It’s in the Navy base so need to hand over ID card and park the car at the gate side to ride a free shuttle bus to get to the entrance to the light house. There’s an entrance fee to climb the hostoric light house, lots of staircase.
Williamsburg atmosphere so peaceful with grazing horses
Governor’s palace
Need tickets to enter venues.
Long walk way. Recommend coming on a cooler day than July hot days
The spice and tea exchange of Williamsburg- southern tea they sell was so right to quench the thirst
The famous peanut shop. Many kinds of seasoned peanuts and other nuts too.
Williamsburg general store. Good place for a souvenir.
Oceans & Ale at Williamsburg premium outlets
Steak & (crab) cake was good

It wasn’t easy to plan a trip around the area and was a bit worried because of the covid situation. We really needed a refreshment and a good rest though. This trip was overall a satisfactory. Got to know about America better.
