Chuseok (Korean thanksgiving) Foods

Yakbap(bottom right) is a Korean traditional sweet sticky rice dish made with honey, dates, chestnuts and pine nuts. These days it’s sold as ready made product so give it a try if you like sticky rice. You can also find them in H mart.
Han-gwa. Korean traditional sweet dessert. Puffed rice and grain cookies made by pressure in the machine, shaped with honey. There are fried ones too.
Sogogi mukkuk, Korean style beef radish chilli pepper soup.
Sikhye, Korean traditional sweet rice drink.
Buchujeon(jijimi), Korean leek pancake served with soysauce(soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame, chili powder, venegar)

Love the Chuseok foods and the festive atmosphere gathering with families and relatives. Although I couldn’t celebrate it with many people due to the COVID, making and having the food at home was quite relieving in the US. I hope all the bad virus us gone and all is well.
