Blue Duck Tavern

Blue Duck Tavern

Elegant atmosphere and tasty food. The staff and servers were kind and welcoming as well. Some friends said the taste somewhat differs by day I don’t know why but luckily the day I went, it was pretty good. https://www.blueducktavern.com/

Getaway and Shenandoah in May

Getaway and Shenandoah in May

Yes, there are many insects in this season but it was worth going before more insects appear in the summer. Not too warm weather for enjoying campfires and fresh air from the greens. Stop by any skyline drive lookouts or visitor centers as you go

Hank’s Oyster Bar

Hank’s Oyster Bar

Great location to enjoy seafood, especially oysters at The Wharf! Relaxing lively atmosphere in and out of the restaurant. Reservation is recommended for lunch and dinner, it’s normally crowded. https://hanksoysterbar.com/

The Wharf DC

The Wharf DC

It’s a beautiful place to take a walk on a sunny day. You can get fresh seafood from the Municipal Fish Market or have tasty seafood from one of the restaurants around the area. There are some benches and swings by the Recreation Pier but

This event was full of Japanese cultural things as expected. Japanese souvenirs, items, foods, etc. were sold and there were some Japanese company advertisement booths. Some traditional performance was on show on the stage. Venue entry upon ticket purchase. https://nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/

Firefly

Firefly

Good place for a semi-casual or half-formal gathering. It’s quite a spacious restaurant, the interior was modern but cozy. A few tables were occupied by the time around 6 for dinner. The amount of food was less than I expected I ordered more dishes later.

Lupo Verde Osteria Palisades

Lupo Verde Osteria Palisades

A cozy Italian restaurant. It was hard to find a parking lot around there at that time so I had to park far and walk to the restaurant. I guess locals come to this restaurant often. I saw quite a few moms with children come

Un je ne sais Quoi…

Un je ne sais Quoi…

Great French patisserie cafe in DC. There’s a gluten-free cake/merveilleux, too. I love the desserts sold here. Seats are limited, with a few tables inside and outside. When crowded, people just line up for take-outs even. https://unjenesaisquoi.square.site/

Old Ebbitt Grill

Old Ebbitt Grill

A good restaurant for formal gatherings near the White House. Reservation is recommended, it’s crowded even on weekdays. All menus I tried tasted over average and the amount of food was generous enough. The atmosphere is quite lively and the interior decorations are antique. http://www.ebbitt.com

AMC Tysons Corner

AMC Tysons Corner

Plenty of parking spaces in Tyson’s corner mall. Easy access to the theater. The seats are relatively clean and many movies are available on large screens as well.
